ALLNET MSR Sensors Commissioning

The external sensors/actuators are either plugged directly into the I2C ports on the control units or can be connected remotely via a cable. To connect the sensors/actuators remotely to the power meter, you can use a standard network cable (RJ45 connector, Use Cat. 5). However, existing network or telephone cabling can also be used. The maximum cable length between the power meter and the module can be up to 100 meters. The modules are powered by the control centers. A separate power source for the individual modules is not required.

To connect multiple modules to the control units, the ALL4404 8-port multiplexer module can be used as an option. This allows up to 8 sensors/actuators to be connected to the control units' I2C port, and Integrate it into the web interface.

Settings under "Configuration" > "Sensor/Actuator Search." The control units feature I2C sensor/actuator ports. You can use any sensors and actuators from the ALLNET product line that operate exclusively at a supply voltage of 3.3 V. They can be connected either directly or via an ALL4404 multiplex hub.

Manual Sensor and Actuator Search

Step 1: Open the "Configuration" tab and click "Sensor/Actuator Search."

Step 2: To start a new search, click “Select All.”

Or you know which port to use and can select it—for example, by clicking on port "0."

If you click “Simulate (On),” the sensor will not be automatically added to the main page. In our case, we will leave this feature turned off.

Step 3: Now click “Start.” The search will be displayed as an animation, and the sensors found will be shown at the bottom.

Step 4: Once the search is complete, click "Overview" in the "Main Page" tab.

The sensor is now displayed on the main page and can be further configured.

Follow the same procedure when using an "ALL4404 or ALL4504" multiplex hub. Again, follow the steps from Step 1 and select "Select All."

Step 5: We click "Start" again, and the search begins on all green ports.

Step 6: In our case, a motion detector labeled “ALL4452” is connected to the actuator. This is a single-input switch. Please click “Select.” The sensor field will be highlighted in “green.” Then click “Create Selection.”

The search is complete, and the sensors that were found are now back further down

Under the "Main Page" tab, click "Overview" to view the sensor you created. "0" means no motion and therefore no action. "1" means the sensor detects motion and could activate an actuator.
