Brief description

Introduction

The ALLNET IP MCR building automation solutions are intended for use in professional building automation through to industrial automation and control technology. They consist of an IP control center and the associated compatible sensors and actuators.

Components and field wiring

The I2C sensor port with a maximum length of 100 meters per sensor port is used for field wiring. The respective control panels have an integrated IP web server and an associated database in which the I2C chip IDs are stored.

Initial configuration

Each control panel must be configured with the integrated installation wizard during initial commissioning. The configuration includes the network configuration, the language setting and the time configuration. As the control panels do not have an integrated clock module, it is recommended to set the current time manually or via a local or external NTP server.

Extensions

A maximum of one ALL4404 8-fold multiplexing port extension can be connected to the respective I2C sensor ports of the central units. This multiplexing port hub is intended for connecting additional sensors or actuators, for example (see overview).

Modular principle

The ALLNET MSR building automation solutions are designed and constructed in such a way that they can be connected to each other both locally and remotely (IP) using the modular principle.

Example configuration:

The smallest control panel currently available, ALL3419, has 3 I2C sensor ports. With 3x ALL4404, a maximum of 24 sensors or actuators can be connected. Each control panel can then communicate with other control panels via TCP/IP and act as a remote sensor or actuator.

Expansion options

The control panels can be expanded with optional free software modules to add functions such as SNMP, cloud communication, EnOcean push-buttons, integration into VMS video systems and other solutions.

Hardware: MIPS or ARM CPU

Special CPU modules from ALLNET based on MIPS or ARM architecture are used in the MSR control centers. Both RAM and flash are permanently soldered onto the modules, as are the associated communication ports, which we use to equip the interfaces to the outside. The CPU modules used always run an embedded Linux based on open source standards. The complete source codes can be viewed on request and can be modified by the partner/end customer at any time.

Software: Embedded Linux

Each control panel has an integrated web server, which can be provided with access authorization levels if required. The control panels also have a serial interface and SSH access, which Linux-savvy users can use to let off steam. We offer a JSON SDK (API) interface for remote applications. Using this API-JSON interface, the ALLNET MSR control panels and sensors can then be perfectly integrated into your applications/software.
